Our Story

Our story begins with the Founder and President of The Ally Foundation, Azalea Ally. It was a dream of hers to launch a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people around the world. However, despite her ambition, it wasn't until the passing of her oldest brother that she decided she needed to do something right away.

Her oldest brother, Amjad "Ace" Khan, died in an accident on August 10th, 2021. He was a kind, talented, intelligent luminary who excelled in everything that he set his mind to. He was a major inspiration to her, and everyone who has ever met him can attest to how amazing he was. It is because of him and her love for him that this non-profit came to fruition.

Azalea initially wanted to start a non-profit to honor her brother's memory, keep herself productive during her grief, and help the people in her community. After discussing her intention with her family, the idea for a non-profit evolved into one that could honor all of their loved ones who passed and provide a lifetime commitment to bettering themselves, helping various communities, and inspiring the next generation.

It became clear early on that the perfect name for the organization would be one to represent them all; thus, "Ally" was chosen, as it is the last name of her paternal grandfather. After forming the name and having some general ideas for the organization's purpose, the Ally Foundation officially began in November of 2021.

Since our formation, we have evolved into an organization where everyone, from our founders, volunteers, board members, and the communities we support, can find meaning through community service. Whether we are inspired by our faith, grief, or overall desire to do good, we can all come together and be the light we want to see in this world.
